It's a treatment applied to the surface of aging asphalt shingles. The product is designed to work into the shingle and help restore some of the oils that are lost through normal weathering, which is what keeps a shingle flexible.
After the roof is assessed and cleaned of loose debris, the treatment is sprayed evenly across the shingle surface. It absorbs into the shingle rather than sitting on top of it like a coating or paint.
